This comparison gets asked constantly, and it is slightly the wrong question. Appfigures and AppTweak are not two versions of the same product. They are two different products that happen to share one feature.
Which does not make it unanswerable. It means the answer depends on something people rarely state out loud: whether you are buying analytics or buying ASO.
The short answer
Appfigures is an analytics platform. Its $9.99 tier is a revenue and downloads dashboard, and daily keyword rank updates only start at $44.99 a month. AppTweak is a dedicated ASO platform with no cheap tier at all, opening at $79 a month for 500 keywords. Both are priced for teams.
Applyra is the third answer, and the one built for the case both of them price out: unlimited keyword tracking, difficulty scoring and competitor monitoring for a flat $9.99 a month, on top of a permanent free plan that needs no card.
The pricing, verified
Prices below were read from each vendor's own pricing page on 9 September 2026, from a US connection. That detail matters for AppTweak, which shows euro pricing to European visitors: these are the dollar figures its US page publishes, not a conversion.

Does the $9.99 Appfigures plan track keyword rankings?
Look at the Appfigures ladder again. The $9.99 Connect plan lists 25 keywords. It also lists downloads, revenue, subscription analytics, ad spend, ranks and ratings, and review replies.
What it does not list is daily keyword rank updates. Those appear one tier up, on Monitor, at $44.99. Hourly updates and competitor keyword tracking appear two tiers up, at $149.99.
What this means in practice
The headline $9.99 that draws people to Appfigures buys an analytics dashboard. If daily keyword rank tracking is the reason you are shopping, the honest Appfigures entry price is $44.99 a month. Applyra's is $0, and $9.99 once you outgrow five keywords.
That single fact rearranges everything, because the two products are not competing at $9.99 against $79. They compete at $44.99 against $79, and at $149.99 against $79 once you match capacity.
Cost per tracked keyword
Normalise for what you actually get and the pricing story inverts from what the entry prices suggest.
| Plan | Monthly | Keywords | Cost per keyword |
|---|---|---|---|
| Appfigures Monitor | $44.99 | 100 | $0.45 |
| Appfigures Optimize | $149.99 | 500 | $0.30 |
| AppTweak Grow | $299 | 1,500 | $0.20 |
| AppTweak Essential | $79 | 500 | $0.16 |
| Applyra Unlimited | $9.99 | Unlimited | $0.02 at 500 |
$149.99
Appfigures, 500 keywords
$79
AppTweak, 500 keywords
$9.99
Applyra, unlimited keywords
At the one capacity both vendors offer, 500 keywords, AppTweak is roughly half the price of Appfigures. That is worth saying plainly, because the usual framing has Appfigures as the budget option and it is not, once you are actually doing ASO with it.
What you pay the difference for is your own data. Appfigures connects to your store accounts and reports your actual downloads, revenue, subscriptions and ad spend. AppTweak lists download and revenue estimates too, but an estimate for any app in the store is a different product from your own reconciled numbers.

Two rows deserve a note rather than a checkmark.
Seats. Every AppTweak tier, including Grow Plus at $549 a month, includes one seat. For a two-person team that is a structural cost, not a detail.
History depth. AppTweak's cheapest plan holds 6 months. To compare this September against last September, Essential will not reach, and the plan that will costs $299. Ranking history is the one thing you cannot buy retroactively, which makes it a strange thing to meter. Applyra keeps full history on the paid plan and does not tier it.
Which ASO tool should a small app choose?
Being fair here costs nothing and it is the only reason this article is worth reading.
Appfigures is the right call when you are running a business on the numbers: multiple live apps, subscription revenue you need to understand cohort by cohort, ad spend to reconcile against installs. It is a competent analytics product and the ASO features are a reasonable bonus on something you already needed.
AppTweak is the right call when ASO is somebody's actual job. Large keyword sets, multiple markets, competitor metadata work, an agency reporting to clients. At the one capacity both vendors offer it is the cheaper of the two per tracked keyword. At $79 a month it is not an indie tool, and it is not pretending to be one.
Applyra is the right call when you are one person with one or two apps who wants to know where you rank, which keywords are worth chasing, and what your competitors changed. That is the case both platforms will happily sell you, wrapped in tooling built for a much larger operation, at four to fifteen times the price.

Applyra tracks keyword rankings on the App Store and Google Play, scores keyword difficulty and traffic, watches competitor listings for changes, and generates AI keyword suggestions. It does not estimate anyone's revenue and it does not reconcile your ad spend. It is an ASO tool, not a platform, and the pricing page has two lines on it.
The free plan covers 1 app, 5 keywords, 1 competitor and 7 days of ranking history, permanently, with no card. The paid plan is $9.99 a month for unlimited keywords.
We have written the direct comparisons separately, with the same numbers: Appfigures alternative and AppTweak alternative. If you want the wider field, the best ASO tools for indie developers covers twelve of them.
How to actually decide
Skip the feature tables, including the ones above, and answer three questions.
Do you need revenue and subscription analytics? If yes, Appfigures does something the others do not and the comparison is over. If no, you are paying for it on every Appfigures tier anyway.
How many keywords do you genuinely need? Not aspirationally. Most single-app indie developers work with 30 to 80 keywords they revisit plus a long tail they check occasionally. Both vendors meter that number, which is what sets your bill. Applyra does not meter it.
How long will you keep the history? This is the one people get wrong, because it costs nothing today and everything in a year. It is the thing you will want the day a store recalibrates and you need to prove what your positions looked like before. We measured exactly that in July 2026, and the only reason we could is that the history was already there.
Answer those three and the choice usually makes itself. If all three point at "I just need to know where I rank", that is a $9.99 problem, not a $149.99 one.
Frequently asked questions
What is the real difference between Appfigures and AppTweak?
Appfigures is built around app analytics, meaning downloads, revenue, subscriptions and ad spend, with ASO features layered onto the paid tiers. AppTweak is built around ASO from the start, with keyword research, difficulty scoring and competitor metadata as the core product. They overlap on keyword tracking and on third-party estimates, and diverge on almost everything else.
Is Appfigures cheaper than AppTweak?
At the entry point yes, but not at comparable capacity. Appfigures starts at $9.99 a month, though that tier is analytics rather than rank tracking. Once you compare tiers that track 500 keywords, AppTweak Essential is $79 a month against $149.99 for Appfigures Optimize. At the one capacity both vendors offer, 500 keywords, AppTweak costs about half as much per tracked keyword.
Does the $9.99 Appfigures plan track keyword rankings?
It carries a 25-keyword allowance, but Appfigures lists daily keyword rank updates as a Monitor feature at $44.99 a month, one tier up. If daily rank tracking is why you are buying a tool, the realistic Appfigures entry price is $44.99. For comparison, Applyra tracks unlimited keywords at $9.99 and offers a permanent free plan.
Which ASO tool should a solo developer choose?
Neither Appfigures nor AppTweak is designed for one person with one or two apps. Appfigures makes sense if you genuinely need revenue and subscription analytics. AppTweak makes sense if ASO is somebody's full-time job. If you only need rankings, keyword difficulty and competitor tracking, Applyra covers that for $9.99 a month with no keyword cap.
Does AppTweak have a free plan?
No. AppTweak offers a 7-day free trial and its cheapest paid plan is Essential at $79 a month, or $949 billed annually, for 500 keywords and one seat. Appfigures does offer a free Starter tier, and Applyra offers a permanent free plan covering 1 app, 5 keywords and 1 competitor with no credit card.
How much keyword history do these tools keep?
AppTweak ties history depth to the plan: 6 months on Essential, 12 months on Grow, 24 months on Grow Plus. That matters if you want to compare this year's ranking curve against last year's, because the cheapest plan will not reach back that far. Ranking history is the one ASO asset you cannot buy retroactively.
