How to read the scores
Difficulty (0 to 100) is how hard it is to break into the top ranks. It reflects how strong and how fresh the apps already ranking are. Under 34 (Easy) is winnable for an indie; 67 or above (Hard) means established apps hold the top spots.
Traffic (0 to 100) is how much the keyword is searched, relative to the whole store. A keyword is only worth targeting when it has both low difficulty and real traffic, which is rarer than most developers expect.

Frequently asked questions
How do I find low-competition keywords for my app?
Look for keywords with low difficulty and real search traffic. Aim for a difficulty in the Easy band (33 or below) and a traffic score of 25 or more; that small slice is where an indie app can realistically rank. Long-tail phrases of three or more words are usually the most winnable.
What is a good keyword difficulty score?
On a 0 to 100 scale, 33 or below is Easy and winnable for an indie app, 34 to 66 is Medium (competitive), and 67 or above is Hard, where established apps hold the top spots. Difficulty reflects how strong and how recently updated the apps already ranking are.
How is keyword difficulty calculated?
Applyra scores difficulty from live store signals: how strong the apps currently ranking are (their ratings and positions) and how fresh their listings are. A keyword dominated by big, recently updated apps scores high; one held by weaker or stale listings scores low.
