Video transcript

Applyra costs $9.99 a month, or $99.99 a year. Payment goes through Stripe, and everything after the first charge happens in the billing portal. The yearly plan is two months free, $19.89 less than twelve monthly payments. Staying monthly costs the advertised price. You pay a round local price: euros in the euro area, pounds in the UK, Swiss francs in Switzerland, and dollars everywhere else. Nothing is converted. The currency is set at checkout, from where you are, and stays for the life of the subscription. On the Subscription screen, Manage Billing opens the Stripe portal: your card, your billing interval, and cancelling. Paying monthly? Switch to annual shows what you'd save, and changes the subscription you already have, instead of opening a second one. Promo codes apply to the monthly plan. The yearly one already carries its discount, and a referral discount needs no code at all. If a payment fails, the plan shows Past Due. Update your card in Manage Billing, and Stripe retries. Nothing you track is deleted meanwhile. To cancel, use Manage Billing. You keep Unlimited until the end of the period you paid for, and the screen shows that date. After that, the account returns to the free plan.

The two intervals

IntervalPriceWhat it means
Monthly$9.99Cancel any time, no commitment
Yearly$99.99Two months free, so $19.89 less than twelve monthly payments

The yearly plan is a discount, not a condition. Staying monthly costs the advertised price, which is not true of most tools in this category.

Which currency you are charged in

The same figure is charged in each currency, as a local round price rather than a conversion of the dollar one. Nothing is converted on your statement.

Where you areMonthlyYearly
Euro area€9.99€99.99
United Kingdom, Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man£9.99£99.99
Switzerland and LiechtensteinCHF 9.99CHF 99.99
Everywhere else$9.99$99.99

Your currency is decided at checkout from where you are, and it stays the same for the life of that subscription, renewals included. The amount shown on the Stripe checkout page is the amount charged. The pricing page is the source of truth if any of these move.

If you cancel and come back later, the currency is worked out from your location again rather than inherited from the old subscription.

Switching between monthly and yearly

On the Subscription screen, a monthly subscriber gets a Switch to annual button next to the saving it represents. It opens the same Stripe billing portal as Manage Billing, and that is deliberate: the portal changes the interval on the subscription you already have, where a fresh checkout would create a second one alongside it.

Promo codes and discounts

Codes apply to the monthly plan. The yearly plan already carries its discount in the price, so checkout does not take a code on it, and the screen says so rather than promising one that would not apply. A referral discount is applied automatically at checkout with no code to type, which is covered in the referral program.

Most codes are restricted to a first subscription. If a code is refused, checkout tells you and offers to continue at the normal price.

When a payment fails

The Subscription screen marks the plan Past Due and asks you to update your payment method. Open Manage Billing, replace the card, and Stripe retries. Nothing about your tracked apps or keywords is deleted while that is being sorted out.

Cancelling

Cancel from Manage Billing. You keep Unlimited until the end of the period you already paid for, and the Subscription screen shows that date as the access date instead of the next billing date. After it, the account returns to the free plan and its limits. Partial months are not refunded.

Those limits are enforced. Anything above them, the extra apps, keywords and competitors, is removed within 24 hours unless you resubscribe, and the dashboard carries that deadline for as long as you are over. If there is a particular app or keyword you want to keep, delete the others down to the free plan limits yourself before then, and what is left stays tracked with the history behind it.

Cancelling is not the same as deleting the account. If you want your data removed as well, see deleting your account and your data.

Everything else about the subscription

Updating the card, changing the interval and cancelling are all in the same portal, reached from Manage Billing. If you need something it does not offer, get in touch and it will be handled by hand.

Frequently asked questions

Which currency is Applyra billed in?

Applyra is 9.99 a month in your own currency: $9.99 by default, €9.99 in the euro area, £9.99 in the United Kingdom, Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man, and CHF 9.99 in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Your currency is set from your location when you subscribe and stays the same for the life of that subscription.

How do I switch from monthly to yearly billing on Applyra?

Open the Subscription screen and use Switch to annual, or Manage Billing. Both open the Stripe billing portal, which changes the interval on the subscription you already have instead of starting a second one.

What happens when I cancel my Applyra subscription?

You keep Unlimited until the end of the period you have already paid for, and the Subscription screen shows that date. After it, the account returns to the free plan, and anything beyond the free plan limits is removed within 24 hours unless you resubscribe. Partial months are not refunded.

Do I have to commit to a year to get the $9.99 price?

No. $9.99 a month is the normal price with no commitment. The yearly plan at $99.99 is a discount on top of it, worth two months, not the condition for the advertised rate.
