Your profile and default market
Change the name, email address and password on your Applyra account, and set the store defaults that pre-fill the country and language when you add an app.
Video transcript
Everything about your account lives on one screen, under your name at the bottom of the sidebar. Your first and last name are what Applyra uses to address you in its emails. Change email asks for the new address, and sends it a confirmation link. Nothing changes until you click it, so a typo costs you nothing. A new password needs at least six characters, typed twice. No need for the old one: you're already signed in. The part worth setting is the store defaults: a country and a language for the App Store, and another pair for Google Play. They're separate on purpose. The App Store splits its results by country, Google Play by country and language. Set the market you work on once. They're defaults, not a filter. Nothing you already track moves. What changes is what's pre-selected the next time you add an app, a competitor or a keyword.
Everything about your account lives on one screen, reached from your name at the bottom of the sidebar: your first and last name, your email address, your password, and the store defaults. The store defaults are the part worth setting properly, because they decide the country and language pre-filled every time you add something.
Your name
First name and last name, saved with one button. They are what Applyra uses to address you in the emails it sends, and nothing else.
Your email address
The card shows the address on file with a Verified badge. Change email asks for the new address and sends a confirmation link to it. Your current address stays in place until you click that link, so a typo costs you nothing: nothing changes until the new inbox proves it exists.
If you signed in with Google or GitHub, the address belongs to that provider and the card says so instead of offering the change.
Your password
Only shown for accounts that sign in with an email and a password. A new password must be at least six characters, and it is confirmed twice in the same form. There is no current password to retype, because you are already signed in.
Store defaults
Two blocks, one per store, each with a country and a language:
| Store | What the defaults cover |
|---|---|
| App Store | iOS and iPadOS searches and tracking |
| Google Play | Android app searches and keyword tracking |
They are stored separately on purpose. The App Store splits its results by country, Google Play splits by country and language, so the pair you want is rarely the same on both. Markets covers what that means when you decide where to track.
These are defaults, not a filter. Changing them does not move anything you already track: an app added for the United States stays a United States app, and its keywords stay in that market. What changes is the pre-selection you get the next time you add an app, a competitor or a keyword. If you work on one market almost all the time, set it here once and stop picking it.
What else is on the screen
- Email notifications, the four settings that decide what Applyra sends you. See the emails Applyra sends, and how to stop them.
- App Store Connect, an optional connection that pulls in your iOS keywords field. See connecting App Store Connect.
- Request account deletion, at the bottom. See deleting your account and your data.
The same menu at the bottom of the sidebar holds your subscription and the referral program.
Frequently asked questions
How do I change my Applyra email address?
Open the Account screen, use Change email under Email address, and enter the new one. Applyra sends a confirmation link to that address and your current email stays in place until you click it.
What are the store defaults in Applyra?
Store defaults are a country and a language per store, saved on your Applyra account and used to pre-fill the market picker whenever you add an app, a competitor or a keyword. They are defaults only, so anything you already track keeps the market it was added in.
I signed in with Google, why is there no password field?
Accounts created through Google or GitHub have no Applyra password to change, and the email address is managed by the provider. The password card only appears for accounts that sign in with an email and a password.
